Opera is a cross-platform web browser and Internet suite which handles common internet-related tasks including visiting web sites, sending and receiving e-mail messages, managing contacts, chatting online and displaying Widgets. Opera's lightweight web browser and most current versions of its desktop application are offered free of charge.

The Adobe Flash Player is a widely distributed multimedia and application player created and distributed by Macromedia (a division of Adobe Systems). Flash Player runs SWF files. Flash Player was originally designed to display 2-dimensional vector animation, but has since become suitable for creating rich Internet applications and streaming video and audio. Flash is a common format for games, animations, and GUIs embedded into web pages. The Flash Player is shipped with some browsers and is available for modern browsers as a plugin.

Adobe Reader (formerly called Acrobat Reader) is available as a no-charge download from Adobe's web site, and allows the viewing and printing of Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Acrobat and Reader are major components of the Adobe Engagement Platform, and are widely used as a way to present information with a fixed layout similar to a paper publication.
PowerPoint Viewer 2003 allow to view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions. This viewer also supports opening password-protected Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. It is possible to view and print presentations, but not to edit them in the PowerPoint Viewer 2003.
XnView is a multi-platform software used for viewing, converting and manipulating graphic files. It supports more than 400 image file formats, is free of charge for private usage and easy to use. Within a few mouse clicks, scripts can be created to convert, manipulate and rename a batch of images in one go. Several image editing tools are included, for instance color and size manipulation, several filters and effects. Creation of advanced slideshows is possible as well.
